We have started with a very clean 1973 911 T showing 90,000 miles on the odometer. It’s a car that I bought without the original 2.4L mechanical injection engine, although it did still have the orig. 915 w-7:31 ring and pinion hanging in there. The car was so clean & complete I had thought about putting a 2.4L MFI engine back in, wait this thought only crossed my mind for a moment. I had true visions of grandeur ’73 RSR style with a ’96-‘98 3.6L DME V-Ram engine featuring A/C and Heat, coupled to one of our built '87-'89 G-50 gearboxes, and complete 930 turbo suspension.

This sweet '87 930 has cone to us from Ohio for an engine rebuild & upgrade, along with suspension, A/C, and oil cooler updates. We started with a comprehensive disassebly & inspection, the engine was showing cyl. combustion leak at cyl. #5. We found that after carefull inspection of the # 5 cyl. head that it was incorrecly machined, and causing a deck height issue. This being # 5 it was held off by the #4 & #6 heads and not sealing properly. Nothing that can't be fixed here, take a look !

This '72 911 was a wreck when it showed up on a trailer towed in from San Diego. The customer wanted to have a car with super performance, and the comfort of A/C. The 1995 Porsche 993 3.6L engine was selected for installation in this project car. This engine is OBD I and features the twin plug ignition system. To fit this engine in this older Porsche 911 chassis, several modifications are required, the dash and power brake sheet metal work was the most intensive (see detail in photos). We have installed the wide variety of our special 3.6L DME engine conversion parts. For this project we installed the Porsche G-50 type transmission converted to SBH (short bell housing) configuration. This modification required our specially fabricated mount with other conversion specific parts and hardware. The clutch system is the 240mm Centerforce DF255255 which offers high clampload with minimal increase in peddle effort. The flywheel is our 9.5 Lbs CNC machined billet steel unit which features all of the necessary timing reference features for the 3.6L DME engine coupled to the SBH G-50. Because the car will utilize the 993 type air conditioning system, we cut and removed the older style 911 dash support. We then grafted in the new type 993 dash which has the updated air ventilation features. The seats chosen are Corbeau XL Sport version which required specialty milled brackets. We then ordered and installed all new interior leather and lining materials.

This vehicle underwent a complete rebuild to RSR spec. We incorporated a G50 Short Bell Housing 6-speed transmission. We machined and performed a blueprinted rebuild right here at Patrick Motorsports. Fitment required extensive chassis modifications due to the longer transmission length. The engine displacement has been increased to 3.8L with the RSR oil pump. Oil cooling has been updated with our special Sebrab front mount oil cooler and the original equipment 930 radiator style front fender cooler. The specs for the racing class allowed us to use PMO Carburetion with a high output ignition system. We also built a new wheel set based on original Fuchs centers to maximize traction. Look for this car on the tracks in Phoenix and Mexico city in late 2007 and upcoming 2008!

We started with a '96 993 coupe and completely converted it to full race RSR GT II configuration. We used all EVO II lightweight composite glass body work including the roof skin, and flush mount lightweight LEXAN windows. On the scales we are 2,360 lbs.. We spared no expense or detail on this car, Take a good look ! The engine is a 964 based 3.8L "RSR", utilizing all the tricks, "RSR" big valves & seats, Sprint cams, TWM manifold system, Hand made full race 1-7/8" stainless headers w-merge collector & rear cross over secondary merge exit. We are utilizing the very best in MOTEC with the M880 (mill spec.) ECU, ADL2 dash, with 16meg. of data logging. We are now setting the car up with inferred tire temperature sensors & suspension ride height/travel sensors. The engine makes 390+ HP on our DYNOJET XLC224 chassis dyno, and this RSR moves out quickly ! We have built two 993 6 spd transaxles, one has the RSR 8:32= 4.0 to 1 R&P with all short gears "sprint trans". Our second transaxle has the 9:31=3.44 F.D. w- short gears, both with our PMS billet side cover to reduce gear deflection & wear, along with all our tricks, and a super efficient SETRAB oil cooler, this system is "for life" ! We stripped the entire chassis bare, seam welded the tub & hand fabricated the complete roll cage safety system. The cage is FIA approved, the main hoop, "A" pillars & rear downward bars are built in 1.750" DOM .120" wall tubing, the rest in 1.50" DOM .095 wall. The front & rear chassis tubes are also 1.50" DOM .095". The car has on board air jack system"KRONTEC" that really make it nice to set up & service. We have just completed a diet program & went thru the car to replaced the floor pans and seat mount to get the driver as low as possible, it worked ! "See the race photo" We have just converted and reconfigured the dash & switch area, finished in red wrinkle powder coating, among the details. FUELSAFE cell of course, and just look at the photos, no detail spared !

This original 914-6 came to us for a complete restoration & 914 6 GT conversion. The car was stuffed in the back of a small U-Haul box truck without suspension. The 2.0L engine was period correct and was completely blueprinted and updated with the 2.0L "S" 9.8:1 compression ratio piston and cylinder set. We also updated to big valve heads which required the intake valve pockets on the piston domes to be machined for proper valve clearance. Twin plugged of course, along with our special twin plug distributor system. The original 906 center feed cams that were supplied for the engine were spared for some more streetable/usable sport cams that gives the engine a broader powerband for (Not so peaky) drivability. This engine is getting all the goodies! The 914/901 tail shift from this original 914-6 is still out for review, as many know this is not the best shift linkage for the 914, thus the 2 upgrades made by PORSCHE in only 3 years to the 901 side shift. Of course we have set it up with the Centerforce DF191198 clutch kit, and this has been balanced with the flywheel & entire engine package. This car has received the full strip and all sheet metal repair rotisserie style. We built a street/race cage system thoughtout, and seam weled the entire chassis. We also added all steel 914 6 GT flares, composite GT front and rear deck lids, bumpers and rockers. The color was a customer favorite determined from day one, from the Dupont Hot Hues Line. "A Little Lilac".

Rear shift rod utilizes needle bearing universal joints at both ends. The hanging style tail section is mated to the chassis by Patrick Motorsport Rear Delrin Transmission Mounts. The rear axles are the late style Carrera/930 CV type from '85.5 thru '89. These are used with our exclusive stub axle spacer set, allowing the use of the hub-centric 911 SC/Carrera rear wheel flange. This project started life as a 1995 993 C-2 cabriolet, but only after the code three alarm fire ! I purchased it as a "salvage title" interior fire/burn, and parted it out. I always dreamed of a race car, or Crazy C-4 Roadster conversion-(turbocharged of course), "Pikes Peak" killer. OK, I came to my senses, and here is what we have done. We stripped & sand blasted the tub, seam welded & caged the chassis. We then gave it the Zinc acid etch sealer ! We fitted it with the 993 GT 2 glass body package, our little twist was the addition of the cab./speedster profile. We have designed and fabricated a little Lexan wind screen as well. The color is a (Porsche o.e.) 1993-94 Maritime Blue, it looks a bit purple, but gets your attention no matter what. Here are a few early shots, and more to follow. It's getting a 3.8L RSR MOTEC engine package, and we built a special 993 Turbo 6 spd. transaxle-converted to 2wd with complete direct mainshaft & gear fluid cooling system. Another "PATRICK MOTORSPORTS" little trick trans. conversion. Well take a look, and I'll get some update photos soon.

This 1978 Porsche 911 Turbo (930) was originally prepared for street use, but has now been converted for export to Europe for racing use in the United Kingdom in a resurrection of the famed Groupe B FIA class. The project features extensive engine tuning, we changed out cams, light head work, valve relief piston tops, huge intercooler, stainless headers, KKK turbo, and a few other little tricks to get a super efficient power band, we race prepped the transaxle with close ratio gears, Quaife differential, trans. cooling system, We cut the roof to lose the weight & build the FIA spec. safety cage system, the roof got re-skinned in FRG, and we added the RSR type front & rear bumpers to save some weight & and allow us to run the dual front oil cooler system. The car is fitted with a FUELSAFE 27gal. SA101 fuel cell. The suspension has been set up for track, see the photos of us running it at the PCA Zone 8 SpeedFest April 2008.

This '73 914-4 came to us from San Jose, California for the 914 6 GT conversion. The car is fitted with a 2.7L engine 40mm Zenith carbs, a 901 side shift transaxle. We took the car to bare metal, added steel GT flares, all 914 GT lightweight side rockers, GT front & rear valance, GT front & rear deck lids, GT front & rear bumpers, and you have to go with the GT engine lid. We built a lightweight roll cage system, It's completely hand built here at our fabrication shop, all tubing is bent & fitted and is welded to re-plated areas of the chassis. You always need to re-plate with .120 sheet metal before welding a tube into your chassis, because the o.e. chassis sheet metal is only .070-.060 thick. It spreads the load of the tube over the specific area of the 914 unibody chassis making a true integrity improvement. We fitted one of our "EXCLUSIVE" FUELSAFE 914 fuel cells, w- through hood flush mount filler cap. We finished the exterior in a 2004 Audi "Aviator Gray Pearl Metallic", hard to appreciate in these photos, but it looks like a blue oyster ! We also fitted the rear suspension with our rear trailing arm toe rod kit (see detail photo) "these work" ! We have just started the reassembly, take a look, more to follow...

This locally owned & driven 73 911 T is a dream, and owned by a very special friend and long time PORSCHE enthusiast. We were asked to perform a special A/C system conversion to this car that would work in our ultra HOT summer climate, but not to add a front condenser or rear engine lid condenser ? This is the kind of challenge we like !

This '74 Carrera was located by myself in Burbank, Ca. in '96, only 68,000 miles and complete but in need of a restoration, We stripped the car and started the process. We started with an '80 3.0L engine, 3.2L 41mm port heads, Cosworth Lightweight piston set, 993 Sport cams, B&B stainless headers w-heat & dual-in dual-out exhaust system, and fitted the engine with 3.2L Digital Motronic Electronics (DME). We tunned the engine with the help of "Autothority" and there Mass Air Flow system. Then trimmed it out in black & yellow powder coating. The pkg. is tight & clean, and makes 280 H.P. !!! We went right for the best, and picked an '86 915 Euro transaxle with L.S.D., pulled it apart and performed our standard complete rebuild. "DONE"

This is a 914-6 2.0L HRS Challenge race car we built for a local customer here in Phoenix. He has successfully raced it across the country for the last 6 years. Including a HSR West 2.0L Challenge Championship Winner. We started with a very straight & completely rust free southwest car, completely stripped the car and started extensive chassis reinforcement & front to rear roll cage safety system. One thing you have to look carefully to see is the tilted back front windshield "our little trick". This works with a std. 914 glass windshield.

They are very professional; quick respond to all questions and emails, very clear communication, and excellent to work with very quick turnaround. I plan to refer others to them. Thanks!

As I searched for a local shop I kept coming back to PMS. Even though I live in Southern Calif, I called Eric countless times, he was more then happy to educate me on the correct steps to take that worked withen my budget. PMS completed a 911 suspension swap, back dated my bumpers, did some body work and went through my 914 from front to back to make sure I was leaving there shop with a trouble free car. Now that I have my 914 mechanically and cosmetically updated my next step will be a 2.7 swap which will be completed by PMS.
