1996 Porsche 993 RSR Evo II RSR

We started with a '96 993 coupe and completely converted it to full race RSR GT II configuration. We used all EVO II lightweight composite glass body work including the roof skin, and flush mount lightweight LEXAN windows. On the scales we are 2,360 lbs.. We spared no expense or detail on this car, Take a good look ! The engine is a 964 based 3.8L "RSR", utilizing all the tricks, "RSR" big valves & seats, Sprint cams, TWM manifold system, Hand made full race 1-7/8" stainless headers w-merge collector & rear cross over secondary merge exit. We are utilizing the very best in MOTEC with the M880 (mill spec.) ECU, ADL2 dash, with 16meg. of data logging. We are now setting the car up with inferred tire temperature sensors & suspension ride height/travel sensors. The engine makes 390+ HP on our DYNOJET XLC224 chassis dyno, and this RSR moves out quickly ! We have built two 993 6 spd transaxles, one has the RSR 8:32= 4.0 to 1 R&P with all short gears "sprint trans". Our second transaxle has the 9:31=3.44 F.D. w- short gears, both with our PMS billet side cover to reduce gear deflection & wear, along with all our tricks, and a super efficient SETRAB oil cooler, this system is "for life" ! We stripped the entire chassis bare, seam welded the tub & hand fabricated the complete roll cage safety system. The cage is FIA approved, the main hoop, "A" pillars & rear downward bars are built in 1.750" DOM .120" wall tubing, the rest in 1.50" DOM .095 wall. The front & rear chassis tubes are also 1.50" DOM .095". The car has on board air jack system"KRONTEC" that really make it nice to set up & service. We have just completed a diet program & went thru the car to replaced the floor pans and seat mount to get the driver as low as possible, it worked ! "See the race photo" We have just converted and reconfigured the dash & switch area, finished in red wrinkle powder coating, among the details. FUELSAFE cell of course, and just look at the photos, no detail spared !

A composite roof was added in the second stage of weight reduction. We also completely cut out and re-paneled much of the chassis to reduce as much weight as possible.
