914-6 GT Jagermeister Tribute

We have been commissioned to build a 914-6 GT 2.5L Jagermeister Tribute race car for Vintage racing here in the US, Look for this running on the East Coast!

In 1970, Porsche entered a 914-6 with the factory's GT option in the grueling 24 Hours of Le Mans race. The car, identified as #40, was driven by Claude Ballot-Léna and Guy Chasseuil. It finished 6th overall, preceded only by prototype racecars like the V12 Ferrari 512S and Flat-12 Porsche 917K. In addition, the #40 won its class ahead of several Porsche 911S entries.

914-6s also competed in some of the most important race competitions of its era, e.g. Targa Florio with Brian Redman, Monte Carlo Rally and Daytona International Speedway. Walt Maas successfully campaigned a 914-6 "GT" in the IMSA race series.

Here the chassis has been sprayed out in DuPont white DTM primer, and seam sealed ready for the Imron Orange top coat. This must be re-coated with top coat within 18 to 24 hours to follow proper application guidelines to ensure the best adhesion!

The 2.5L is trimmed out with our twin plug distributor & wires, 46mm PMO carbs. We pre-fitted the engine tins, and they are off getting powder coated.

Application Notes:
The anti bump steer kit works by correcting the severe angle of the tie rod end after lowering of these cars. If the anti bump kit is not installed and the car is lowered, upon compression the tie rods can pull the steering out of alignment which is called "bump steer". The racing struts also feature and update to correct this by raising the spindle position. Also most 911s benefit from replacing the tie rods with the turbo edition as well which is a direct replacement kit. So in short, if you plan to lower your car, this would be a kit for you.

The factory cast magnesium intermediate plate is known to be problematic. Original ones tend to crack, have loose or out of round bearing bores or may have worn out shift shaft provisions.

Perfect for street, race, higher horsepower and V8 applications-where the additional strength is really needed!

Hydraulic Slave Cylinder - Pull Type - CNC Machined Billet Aluminum, Black Anodized - WILWOOD

This “Pull Type” slave cylinder is made from billet aluminum for high strength and plated with a tough anti-corrosion finish. The stainless steel push rod has a longer stroke than most cylinders assuring a full release of the clutch. Ideal for Drag Racing, Late Model Stock, Pro Series and Off Road applications. Recommended master cylinder sizing is ¾” (.750 Inch).

As I searched for a local shop I kept coming back to PMS. Even though I live in Southern Calif, I called Eric countless times, he was more then happy to educate me on the correct steps to take that worked withen my budget. PMS completed a 911 suspension swap, back dated my bumpers, did some body work and went through my 914 from front to back to make sure I was leaving there shop with a trouble free car. Now that I have my 914 mechanically and cosmetically updated my next step will be a 2.7 swap which will be completed by PMS.

I had a track day coming up at Laguna Seca and wanted to get some upgrades done to my vehicle to prepare it. I had been travelling and waited until the last minute but Robert was able to accommodate me. Got everything I needed done and saved me a trip by being able to run a track alignment on my vehicle to finish it all off. Robert was able to pull everything together in a matter of days. The service was excellent and the facility was top notch, truly amazing, a built from the ground up complete facility build for servicing Porsche. Truly great service.
