This 993 Turbo came to us as a Black Horse, and needed a refresh so the famed "Mexico Blue" was chosen to breathe some life back into this tired rig.
The GT-2 style is referring to the change from 4 wheel drive to 2 wheel drive, we have converted the original 993 Turbo all wheel drive gearbox a G64/51 to a 993 Turbo 2 wheel drive unit. This keeps the nice tall turbo gears and the strength in tact, it also attains the center oil feed mainshaft & pinion shaft that the G64/51 & GT-2 have in common. 993 Twin Turbo GT-2 Style (1996) Parts
Flywheel & Clutch Package RS / Turbo / GT2 / GT3
Lightweight, Single Mass Flywheel Conversion | For sporting and racing applications a reduction in the rotational mass of the flywheel and clutch assembly quickens engine acceleration and improves handling performance. As found on RS and GT models, the single mass lightweight flywheel is machined to exacting tolerances from solid steel thus reducing rotational mass by 17.90 Lbs. (8.12 Kg.)Coupled with the latest high performance OEM Sachs Performance clutch parts, this system offers high clamp load and durability for sport driving.
Pedal stiffness is only slightly increased and clutch engagement and control is easily modulated. Overall throttle response in sharpened and matching engine speeds becomes easier during performance downshifting.
