We used the original type torsion style set up for the front and rear. The torsion bar sizes were updated to 22mm front, and 29mm rear. We also used 25mm hollow anti-sway bars which are fully adjustable. Also installed is our anti bump steer kit for the 911, 930, and 914. this is a direct replacement for the stock tie rod ends and is a must if your car is lowered. This restores the steering geometry to correct the bump steering shimmy that occures when the car is lowered.

The Fuel Safe cell was used with the remote style fill plate. 04-2008 PCA Event: California Speed Festival in Fontana. This 1978 Porsche 911 Turbo project was just completed and in need of a test flight shakedown! The engine was just rebuilt and the boost was set at the modest 1.05 bar. The G50 Short Bell Housing transaxle was also just prepared for RSR use. Piloting is James Patrick with our good customer and friend Francis Stafilopatis co-pilot. As you can see the car is well balanced for track use and will ultimately be shipped back to the United Kingdom for FIA racing circuits. |

As you can see we have added a few needed extras in place of the radio. To the left is the switch to activate the SAFECRAFT fire system. This car has the 10 lb aluminum fire bottle mounted in the rear seat area. This comes with the cable pull three nozzles and aluminum tubing for the spray nozzles.
Part number SAF LT10AAA Next to that is a transmission oil temperature gauge to monitor the fluid temps. in the trans. The last gauge is the intercooler temperature efficiency gauge. This is a great tool to help you understand & monitor your intercooler. See when it’s cooling and when its heat soaked. We stock them in Fahrenheit but can be ordered in Celsius. This gauge indicates inlet charge air temperatures along with outlet temperatures, then calculates the temp split for you and shows the cooling efficiency. When the split is high turn up the boost, when it is low it’s time to ease up and save your motor. This kit includes the gauge, two thermo couples and wiring harness. part number ELE DAV 1017-308FD |

The anti bump steer kit works by correcting the severe angle of the tie rod end after lowering of these cars. If the anti bump kit is not installed and the car is lowered, upon compression the tie rods can pull the steering out of alignment which is called "bump steer". The racing struts also feature and update to correct this by raising the spindle position. Also most 911s benefit from replacing the tie rods with the turbo edition as well which is a direct replacement kit. So in short, if you plan to lower your car, this would be a kit for you.
